About Little Bangkok in the Strip

Little Bangkok in the Strip is a thai restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is listed at 1906 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, which places it among the local businesses of Pittsburgh that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Pittsburgh, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Pennsylvania run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–3 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (412) 586-4107. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is littlebangkokpittsburgh.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Pittsburgh is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Pittsburgh peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This place was absolutely amazing and didn’t disappoint. I had seen a post from a local food influencer so we came down to the Strip on a Saturday to check it out. It was even better than we expected. Every bite was delectable. We will definitely be back and soon!

I didn’t come to Pittsburgh expecting to have Thai food. I’m SO glad I did. I started with Tom Yum w/shrimp. Sensational…then my meal got better! I had the drunken noodles with chicken, spice level 10 and if it’s possible, it was better than the soup. The service is attentive and friendly beyond measure. Don’t miss this hidden gem in the Strip.

Crab rangoons were light and crispy with a delicious citrus orange sauce and the shrimp pad thai was right up there with what I had when I was in Bangkok with very generous serving size. Some of the best food I've had during my trip here to Pittsburgh. My server Jo I think it was, so friendly and welcoming seating me even though I didn't realize they closed in 15 minutes. This is definitely worth seeking out!

Had a great lunch. Weather was good and sat outside. Our server, Jo, was very attentive. Got fresh folks, crab rangoon, Massaman curry and drunken noodles. Everything was great. Only thing I would suggest is the curry be served in a bowl to keep all the liquid from seeping in the rice but the curry was SO DARN good I stopped caring after the 1st bite.
